Dear Prospective Client: For anyone needing help with his or her writing, I highly recommend Rosanne Bittner! I had been working on my [children's] book for five years, taking classes, workshops, and joining a critique group and nothing helped. If anything, I became more confused and disheartened. I was so overwhelmed with facts, tips, guidelines and "how to manuals" I stopped writing altogether. The joy of creating got buried under a mountain of rules! A year went by and I got the urge to write again. I hauled my material out of its binder and began re-writing the first chapter for the umpteenth time. It was about this time a friend in Michigan told me about a writing service Rosanne Bittner was offering via email. I was impressed by the fact Ms. Bittner had so many of her books published, so I figured she was doing something right. I knew I did not want to take any more classes. I wanted to write my book. I contacted Ms. Bittner and asked that if she would be willing to critique my work. She agreed and I am happy to say I just finished chapter 15. My new critique group said my writing keeps on getting better and better! Having a professional writer to send my work to has been a tremendous help. She has kept me motivated, focused, and inspired. Her responses have been prompt, no more than a week from when I emailed her my work. She then followed up by returning a marked up, printed copy in the mail so I could "see" what she was telling me to change. Her critiques are helpful in a way no manual could be, and the rules for writing are finally sinking in. I still struggle with some punctuation such as quotations, and commas, but I think my overall writing has become more enjoyable. I first contacted Ms. Bittner over a year ago. I don't think either one of us thought it would take this long. But she has hung in there with me which just goes to prove (at least to me) she is a woman who delivers what she promises. I have loved every minute of our business relationship and wish I had heard about her sooner. I wasted so much time and money on workshops that did not help. The one thing I really liked was her ability to tailor her critique to my style of writing and for the genre I am writing for.
