LOGAN'S LADY, 3/2019
Two
worlds in conflict
Two hearts intertwined
One love worth fighting for
Wealthy
Englishwoman Lady Elizabeth Baylor longs for adventure. She leaves for America
full of hope, only to lose everything to a villain hiding treachery behind his
smile. Lost in this strange and lawless land, Elizabeth vows to track down the
man who did her wrong
but she cant do it alone. What she needs is
someone hardened by the west and unflinching toward its dangers: notorious
bounty hunter Logan Best.
Ill-mannered
and seemingly ruthless, Logan exorcises his dark past by throwing himself into
his vengeful professionhunting wanted men. Theres nothing about the
pampered Englishwoman that should call to him, and yet as their adventure takes
them across the wild and treacherous west, he realizes hell do anything
to keep her safe
and defend his Lady to his final breath.
LOGANS LADY is a dramatic but often humorous story about an
uneducated, rough and tumble American bounty hunter (Logan Best), who ends up
coming to the rescue of prim and proper, highly educated Lady
Elizabeth Bennett from London, England. These two are as opposite as two could
be, but an unexpected attraction between them grows into something neither can
resist, while at the same time they track down ruthless men who have absconded
with Lady Elizabeths money and personal valuables.
My
Sourcebooks editor's reaction to the manuscript was, "I worked on this
with a junior editor, and we were both blown away. Your books are always such a
joy to read, and this is no exception." Music to my ears!
What
Readers Are Saying About LOGAN'S LADY:
"Lady Elizabeth Baylor wants a new life away from
her domineering older brother, so why not hop across the pond to America's Wild
West, which she's read about in her penny dreadfuls? Armed with her substantial
inheritance and many jewels, she starts making her way toward Denver. When
tragedy falls, she puts her faith in the wrong man and ends up penniless and
imperiled. She has no choice but to unite with notorious bounty hunter Logan
Best. As they trek across the treacherous landscape to get back what is
rightfully hers, she discovers that underneath Logans hardened shell is a
caring and honest man. Although nothing is going as expected, maybe fate is
bringing her exactly the man she needs. This immersive romance set in the
lawless Old West is packed with action and adventure, including murder. Bittner
(The Last Outlaw, 2017) has created an unlikely couple worth cheering for, and
she sure knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats. " - Jenna
Friebel, Booklist
"Bittner (The Last Outlaw) beautifully evokes the
beauty and hardships of life in the late-19th-century American West as a
British aristocrat falls for a hardened bounty hunter in this spellbinding
historical. Lady Elizabeth Baylor and her brother, William, travel across the
Atlantic with plans to settle in Denver, Colo. They are befriended by Sir
Robert Alexander during the crossing, and after William falls overboard and
drowns, Robert agrees to accompany Elizabeth to Denver. En route, Elizabeth
learns that Robert has entrusted someone else with her jewels and money, and he
tries to rape her. She shoots him and is left to fend for herself in Abilene,
Kans., where the sheriff arrests her for Roberts murder. Logan Best, a
handsome, well-known bounty hunter, is searching for Robert, and when he learns
Elizabeths story, he convinces the sheriff to release her, certain that
she acted in self-defense. Elizabeth hires Logan to help track down her
valuables, and insists on accompanying him. The witty banter between Logan and
Elizabeth adds allure to their relationship, and as she adapts to life on the
trail, he admires her beauty and tenacity. Bittner makes an implausible premise
feel absolutely real, showing how two very different characters can make
compromises and find love. Fast-paced, touching, and sensual, this historical
is not to be missed." --
Publisher's Weekly Starred Review
"Logan's Lady was a wild west ride with lots of
action, strong women, hard working men, and one hell of a sexy cowboy. . .
.There was plenty of character development and I got good sense of who Logan
and Elizabeth were, and I connected with them. I loved them together and once
Logan fell in love with Elizabeth he was all in. This book kept me glued to it.

"Logans Lady is beautifully written with all
the drama of the western frontier [Rosanne Bittner's] fans have come to expect.
Logan and Lady Elizabeth swept me away with their verbal sparring and comical
banter. The magnetic pull between them had me falling in love with these
characters. . . . Their love for one another is what we all long to find in our
own lives. Deception, heartache, and the will to survive out on the unforgiven
open trail made this an exceptional western. A beautiful story of never giving
up on your freedom to live your dream. 5 stars!!!!!!" -- Tonya Lucas

"I just want you to know that my husband has just
finished reading [LOGAN'S LADY] also and he absolutely loved it. We both hope
you are writing a sequel to this wonderful book." -- Barbara Klinman
"Loved this story!!! I would love to see you
continue Logan and Elizabeth 's story with a sequel! Please consider it! This
was the first book I read written by you and can't wait to get my hands on more
that you have written. Thanks for the great read!" -- Sue Ziegler

DESPERATE HEARTS,

passionate love story set against the magnificent 1860's Montana landscape!

only to find out later that she's wanted back in New York City for murder. By
then Emma has made her way under Mitch's skin and stirred his desire to claim
her as his own, leaving him torn between behaving as a lawman - or behaving as
a man on fire for a woman who has stolen his heart and his sense of right and
wrong. DESPERATE HEARTS is full of hot sex and great western
adventure, told in the memorable and realistic way only Rosanne Bittner can
write it!"
"SHE'S A WOMAN WITH A SECRET - Elizabeth
Wainright is on the run. Accused of a murder she didn't commit, she has no
choice but to cut ties with her old life and flee West. The last thing she
wants is attention, but when her stagecoach is attacked, she suddenly finds
herself under the fierce protection of one of Montana's famed vigilantes ...
whether she likes it or not ...
"HE'S A MAN WITH A CODE" - Lawman Mitch Brady is
sworn to uphold justice in the wilds of Montana. He's never met a man he's
feared, and he's never met a woman more desperately in need of his help.
Something's shaken the secretive Elizabeth, but as he gets to know the
beautiful city belle, he finds the only thing he wants more than her safety is
her trust. - Elizabeth longs to give herself to Mitch, but when her past
finally catches up with her, can she truly trust the vigilante who's stolen her
heart ... with her life?"
DESPERATE
HEARTSis set in 1880's Montana and is packed with "wild west"
action, a good share of humor, and lots of romance!
What
Readers Are Saying About DESPERTE HEARTS:
"A picture of the American West on the cusp of
civilization, but not quite there yet. God bless Rosanne Bittner for
keeping it old school. Bittner built her career writing lawless westerns.
Westerns set in dissolute areas where the local law consisted of a sturdy tree
and a hangmans noose. Where the characters would go to church on Sunday
assuming there was a church to go to and not six feet of snow outside the front
door of their one-room cabin. . . . Desperate Hearts. . . features
trademarks one would expect from one of her westerns: the moral hero with a
code of honor, the heroine who is in over her head at first, but then toughens
up, and the general lawlessness that plagues a land where civilization
hasnt firmly taken root." -- Wendy the Super Librarian, Heroes and
Heartbreakers.com.
"The Historic Wild West in all its facets just comes
alive in this author's written word. Her ability to blend a nice spicy romance
against the gritty settings and engaging plots is just a plus in this
standalone story about a desperate, terrified woman seeking to lose herself in
the West and the rough, capable, protective and yet gentle lawman that only
wants her trust and her love. . . . The setting of a mining town in Montana
Territory and the raw justice served by the vigilantes was fascinating and a
strong foundation for the story. The description of daily life in a mining town
and the people that populated it was painted so well that I could picture it
and feel I was there while reading. " -- Sophia Rose, Amazon.com. (Read the complete review here.)
"Rosanne Bittner has written many novels and I have
read quite a few of her works. In fact, I wonder that she can come up with new
story lines. However in Desperate Hearts she has done just that.
Although its a classic tale of a runaway heroine trying to escape the
clutches of a depraved relative, there is enough action and adventure in this
novel to keep you interested to the last page." -- Barb, Night Owl
Reviews. (Read the complete review here.)
Rating: 4 stars -- "Ms. Bittner writes a mean
western. She is historically accurate (she must have had a gunslinger in her
family!) and she believes in true love. Those combinations add up to a good
read. I enjoyed the story and worried about the main characters. This author
has a talent for drawing you into the story and keeping you there. I like that;
it makes the book more worth reading. Now to find some more by her
"-- Alice, Long and Short Reviews. (Read the complete review here.)
"4 stars HOT - One of the foremost western romance
writers takes a classic plotline and gives it a twist. In this wonderful love
story and realistic portrait of the wild Montana Territory, the reader
experiences everything - sights, sounds, feelings - along with Bittner's
characters. SUMMARY: Elizabeth Wainright has to get as far away from New York
City and false accusations of murder as she can, so she heads for Montana to
teach. From the moment she steps off the train, Elizabeth lands under the
protection of lawman Mitch Brady. The last thing she needs is anyone looking
into her past, but in this untamed town she requires a champion. Mitch senses
she's hiding something. As he gets to know Elizabeth, he begins to respect her
spunk and falls in love. But when his work and her past collide, will their
love survive?" -- Kathe Robin. RT Book Reviews
"Emma Radcliffe is on the run from her abusive
stepfather and her destination is the tiny gold-rush town of Alder, Montana.
Born a lady and raised in wealth back in New York City, Emma leaves it all
behind to become a teacher named Elizabeth Wainright. The last thing she wants
is to catch the eye of Mitch Brady, the big, strong local lawman. A vigilante
with his own ideas about justice and a strong defender of women, Mitch sees
Emma and falls in love, hard. He shows in every way possible that she can trust
him, and makes his intentions quite clear. Emma also falls in love, not just
with Mitch but also with the independent and fiercely loyal townspeople and the
gritty wilderness around her. Alder is the quintessential Wild West town where
everyone has a past and no one asks any questions. This western historical is
chock-full of danger, with families set on a vendetta, the threat of Emma's
stepfather, and the daily demands of Mitch's job, but Emma is no wilting lily,
proving she is a match for Mitch in every way." -- Publisher's Weekly
"Rosanne
has penned another Bittner classic. Murder, deception, vigilantes, and hearts
desperate for survival. As only Bittner can do, she pulls you into a story that
will tear at your heart and leave you feeling hungover from love in the end.
One to not miss!!!" -- Tonya, 13 September 2014
"Wonderful
Wonderful book as usual by the very talented author Rosanne Bittner. This is
her newest book just released a couple of weeks ago. I had the book since
before actual release date but I just started it yesterday while at beauty shop
and finished it this morning. Now I have to wait til summer 2015 for her next
book but that will be ok as I am re reading her older books again. It's been so
long since I have read some of them its like reading for the first time. This
author has a way of making you feel as you are literally pulled back in time to
the old West. She has a way of writing historical romances unlike any other
author I have ever read. Her books make me wish I lived in another time and
place. She is one of those rare must read authors. This copy came from a larger
Walmart as our small one didn't have it. So check your local Walmart or Barnes
& Noble and get a copy I promise you will not be disappointed" --

and a woman from Sage's past, could destroy the love they find as they overcome
incredible danger and life-threatening adventure along Wyoming's famed Outlaw
Trail.
What Readers Are Saying About
PARADISE VALLEY:
"FOUR STARS - RATED "HOT" -- One of the
most powerful voices in western romance returns with a gritty, earthy, moving
love story that captures the true spirit of the West. Bittner sweeps readers
away with a powerful tale that brings her fans back to the days of early
western romance and the unforgettable men and women whose determination carved
out a nation.
"A chance meeting with outlaws ends in
her husband's death, and Maggie Tucker is left alone on the Wyoming prairie.
Sage Lightfoot is hunting the men who killed one of his cowhands when he finds
Maggie digging a grave. Bound by the desire to find their common enemy, Maggie
and Sage team up in hopes of meting out their own justice. Sage soon learns
that Maggie has a backbone of steel. She's unperturbed by his heritage, and he
is understanding of the horrors she suffered at the outlaws' hands. Their
journey of vengeance slowly becomes a journey to salvation and an unexpected
love. " -- KATHE ROBIN, ROMANTIC TIMES BOOK REVIEWS (July 2013)
"TRUE GRIT, TRUE LOVE: The rough-and-tumble West is
the setting for romance in Rosanne Bittner's Paradise Valley. In 1886, widow
Maggie Tucker teams up with rancher Sage Lightfoot to track the thieves who
murdered both her husband and Sage's foreman. Though Sage is reluctant to take
the young redhead on such an arduous journey, she proves her courage and grit
to him early on. Sage is aware of Maggie's sexual appeal, too, but due to a
previous love affair gone bad, he intends to ignore the attraction. However,
close quarters and Maggie's desire to be with a man who makes her feel safe-and
whom she has come to love-push them into passion. Now traveling as husband and
wife, they tackle varied dangers, make new friends and learn about each other's
pasts and past hurts. Maggie fears she might never have claim to Sage's heart,
but she holds on to hope as they draw closer to their quarry. Bittner has
written an enthralling, gritty read with colorful, dangerous characters, as
well as a hero and heroine who face hard lives yet are not hardened to love. --
Romance by Christie Ridgway, Book Page, July 2013
"There's danger at every turn in Bittner's exciting
tale of romance in the Old West, and readers will find themselves wrapped up in
the adventure." -- Booklist Online
"Rosanne Bittner's vivid descriptions transport you
back to 1886 in this historial romance.... Rosanne has plenty of twists in her
novel, making it a page turner." -- Joyce Brennan, author of "Don't
Dance on my Heart," and "Broken Promises."
"Rosanne~ I just finished Paradise Valley last night
and as usual it was wonderful, and I hated it to end. What a sweet ending. It
is up to your standards of great quality taking the reader on an adventure
through magnificent landscapes and survival. It is a heartwarming story of love
and perseverance, and leaves you feeling warm and happy that love conquers all.
It seems that each book you write could have sequel after sequel. Looking
forward to your next one. Wish the books could be longer! I hate for the
stories to end! :-)" -- Barbara
"I really enjoyed reading Paradise Valley. I
have waited long enough! I am an Old fan from the 1980's! I started reading
Book #1 of Savage destiny series! Can't wait for another Good ol' Rosanne
Bittner book! I Love your books!!" -- Carla Sue
"I Love Paradise Valley. I wanted to read it again
after I finished it. I will anxiously wait for the future book in the summer of
2014. I purchased it as an iBook and monopolized the iPad from my husband while
I read it. In this form I can reread it as often as I want. Looking forward to
new releases." -- Debbie

you! ... Love your books now and forever!" -- Karen
"Oh my I got your book PARADISE VALLEY...I could not
put it down till I got through with it! Great book!" -- Sarah, via
Facebook
"This author can grab my attention from the start of
a book and keep it until the end. The characters come to life and as a reader I
can't wait to see them finally have a happily ever after. One thing in
particular I loved about this book were many of the side characters: I enjoyed
seeing the "good" outlaws and "fallen women" come together
to help. It was an interesting addition to the community." Amanda,
Amazon.com review
"Rosanne Bittner is a highly acclaimed western
author who knows how to depict the men and women of the American West.
Bittner's ability to characterize the indomitable spirit and determination
within her heroes and heroines is legendary. Many of her fans have waited for
over ten years for a new release from the author and will be extremely pleased
with the outcome. Good things are worth the wait and PARADISE VALLEY certainly
falls into that category -- A western romance with a flair for the dramatic,
PARADISE VALLEY is a must read for Bittner fans! Bittner conveys a sense of
urgency and need in this novel. The quest for revenge turns into something a
lot less easy to define as Sage and Maggie track the men who killed her husband
and stole from both of them. I look forward to what's to come from Bittner. She
has definitely shown she has a lot more stories to tell!" -- Deb,

CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE
in the LONGING FOR A COWBOY CHRISTMAS Anthology, 9/2019
My short story
CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE, in the Sourcebooks Christmas anthology
LONGING FOR A COWBOY CHRISTMAS is about Sage and Maggie (Tucker)
Lightfoot and the Paradise Valley ranch (from my book PARADISE VALLEY).
That story ended with Maggie carrying a child whose father is unknown. The baby
is the product of something that happened to Maggie in PARADISE VALLEY,
and CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE will satisfy all those readers who want to
know what happened with that baby. It has a beautiful miracle
ending that is perfect for a Christmas story.
CHRISTMAS
IN PARADISE is one of six sweeping, epic tales of heroism, passion, family
and celebration. Other authors featured in LONGING FOR A COWBOY
CHRISTMAS are Leigh Greenwood, Linda Broday, Margaret Brownley, Anna
Schmidt, and Amy Sandas. "Whether it's a widower finding an unexpected
new start, a former outlaw and his new wife welcoming their very own Christmas
miracle, a long-lost lover returning just in time for a special holiday
celebration, a second chance at love between two warring hearts given peace at
last, an unlikely pair working together to bring joy to a small Texas town, or
a cowboy and his dark-eyed beauty snowed in one unforgettable wintry
eve...every Christmas with a cowboy is filled with light, laughter, and a
forever kind of love."
"Christmas In Paradise was
such an amazing trip back into Sage Lightfoot and Maggie Tuckers journey.
Rosanne Bittner never ceases to deliver such wonderful characters and plots
that truly capture the essence of the West. Ms. Bittner weaves her magic from a
tragic incident into a beautiful Christmas miracle wrapped in unconditional
love and joy." -- Tonya Lucas
"What a wonderful visit to
Paradise Valley this was!! Loved visiting with Sage and Maggie again and now we
know the rest of the story. Anytime I get a chance to read a Rosanne Bittner
book I always know I am in for a Absolute Great Read . . . . Mrs Bittner keeps
her readers' attention from the first page until the last page and always,
always leaves one counting the days and minutes until her next release."

Reissue: WILDEST
DREAMS
Originally published by Bantam, 7/94. Sourcebooks trade
paperback, 2/12; Sourcebooks mass-market paperback, 1/5/16.
WILDEST
DREAMS: Lettie McBride knows that joining a wagon train heading West is
her chance to begin anew, far from the devastating memories of the night that
changed her forever. She doesn't believe she can escape the pain of innocence
lost, or feel desire for any man...until she meets Luke Fontaine.
Haunted by his own
secrets, Luke would never blame Lettie for what happened in the past. One
glance at the pretty redhead is enough to fill the handsome, hard-driving
pioneer with a savage hunger.
Against relentless
snows, murderous desperadoes, and raiding Sioux, Luke and Lettie will face a
heartrending choice: abandon a lawless land before it destroys them, or fight
for their Wildest Dreams.
Luke Fontaine and
Lettie MacBride meet on a wagon train headed west, both of them running from a
past and from places to which they intend to never return. They fall in love,
and Lettie follows Luke to Montana, where Luke intends to build a cattle empire
of his own. Beset by relentless snows, Indian attacks, run-ins with horse
thieves, buffalo hunters, a grizzly bear, prairie fires, vigilantes and the
countless other challenges of settling in wild country, the powerful love Luke
and Lettie share helps hold them together through a rugged pioneer life and
through the loss of a son who is stolen away by Indians, never to return until
he is a grown man.
WILDEST
DREAMSis a vivid depiction of what life was like for America's
pioneers, all set against the glorious panorama of Montana, "big-sky
country," where there was a time when a man could own land that stretched
so far that it would take days to ride its perimeter
a land where a man
could carve out his dreams and realize them
and where a woman found
strength and independence of a kind she'd never know in settled places.
Luke and Lettie
raise a huge family, and WILDEST DREAMS goes into the lives of
their children, whose hearts will always lie at "home," on the
DOUBLE-L Ranch in Montana. Though people and events come along to try to
destroy the love Luke and Lettie have for each other, nothing can come between
them. By the end of this book, a sweeping saga of romance, adventure and
realistic pioneer life, the courage it took for our American pioneers to settle
this land will live on in the minds of the readers for years to come, along
with an appreciation for the kind of people who settled America!
What Readers Are Saying About WILDEST
DREAMS:
Dear Rosanne: I have just finished reading WILDEST DREAMS
and I had to let you know just how much I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a book
that kept me riveted from the first page to the very last one. I could not put
it down. It was non stop enjoyment. I downloaded another from the casablanca
series. Thanks for a great read. -- Pat
"Rosanne Bittner creates characters that seem so
real they stay with you. This is a story about a love that evolved and changed
through the challenges of lifes ups and downs during a time when 'civilization'
was just being brought to the west. Anyone who enjoys reading about the
difficult times our pioneers had in settling the land would enjoy this
book." -- Michelle, GoodReads
"Readers can now replace their tattered copies of
this tale, originally published in 1994, with a beautiful new edition. Anyone
seeking an emotional, sweeping Western saga need look no further, as Rosanne
Bittner provides a couple who suffer strife and loss, but endure it all because
they're together. Luke is a sometimes hard to like character, but he and Lettie
embody the pioneer spirit necessary to thrive in a harsh land. . . . the major
characters have all the depth and nuance readers will crave." -- Heather
Nordahl Files, Affaire de Coeur, 2012. (Read the entire review here.)
"A hasty opening drops the reader head-first into a
story already in progress, but the plunge is quickly forgotten as Bittner's
characters spring to life. It's 1863. Upon learning that he is illegitimate,
independent Luke Fontaine strikes out on his own to prove himself. On a
west-bound wagon train, he falls in love with Lettie, a rape victim with an
illegitimate child. Since her rape, Lettie has felt unworthy of another
relationship, but Luke is determined to convince her otherwise with the kind of
understanding attitude that makes this epic saga of 25 years so memorable. Luke
and Lettie head for Montana to begin a dynasty--which is both Luke's dream and
his way of avenging himself on his estranged family. The couple are true
pioneers, staking out their claim on the raw, untamed Montana Territory
inch-by-inch. Nothing is easy and their happiness is hard won and revered.
Their experiences are not out of the ordinary for the time (a son is abducted
by Indians, a grizzly attack, a child dies of fever), but are extraordinary for
the depth of emotion with which they are portrayed. Bittner is one of those
writers whose talent has grown over the years; that talent truly blossoms in
Wildest Dreams." -- Publisher's Weekly, 1994.

Reissue: THUNDER ON THE
PLAINS
Originally published in hardcover by Doubleday, 1/92; Bantam
paperback, 8/92; Sourcebooks trade paperback, 7/12; Sourcebooks mass market
paperback, 10/15.
In a land of
opportunity: Sunny Landers wanted a big lifeas big and free as
the untamed land that stretched before her. Land she would help her father
conquer to achieve his dream of a transcontinental railroad. She wouldnt
let a cold, creaky wagon, murderous bandits, or stampeding buffalo get in her
way. She wanted it allincluding Colt Travis.
All the odds
were against them: Like the land of his birth, half-Cherokee Colt
Travis was wild, hard, and dangerous. He was a drifter, a wilderness scout with
no land and no prospects hired by the Landers family to guide their wagon
train. He knew Sunny was out of his league and her father would never approve,
but beneath the endless starlit sky, anything seemed possible
What Readers Are Saying About THUNDER
ON THE PLAINS:
"Bittner writes epic romance in the truest sense. She
weaves magic through the pages as she takes readers back in time on a
remarkable journey." -- Jonel B.(Read entire review here!)
"I started reading this wonderful book by Rosanne
Bittner with no intention of doing it all in one sitting, but that's exactly
what happened. I was so spellbound with the excitement and tragedy dealt to
both these young people searching for real love, that I couldn't put it down.
The tragedy of the Wild West and Indians molds Colt Travis into a man desperate
for love, and provides a stimulating and terrific read. Sunny Landers is a
strong, warm-hearted woman intent to lead, and one you can't help but fall in
love with. THUNDER ON THE PLAINS was truly an inspiring and
romantic tale that will take you on a wild and beautiful adventure like no
other." -- Kay Quintin, Fresh Fiction (Read entire
review here!)
"Hi, Rosanne -- I have just finished reading
THUNDER ON THE PLAINS and simply had to write and tell you how
spectacular it was. I was completely absorbed. The story sucked me in and
wouldn't let me go. It was not the typical historical romance you read, all
melodramatic sex scenes and no substance. This story felt like it could be
real. I half expected to read your author's notes and find out it was based on
a true story or real people. . . I can tell you the suspense drove me insane,
of wondering when Colt and Sunny would run into each other again, would they be
brave enough to seize their love this time, and then the frustration of
watching them part ways again and go about their lives trying to forget each
other. I was desperate to know how it would end and I began to doubt they would
ever actually end up together. I would LOVE to see this book get screen rights
and the characters to be brought to life [in a movie]!" -- Rhiannon, 26
March 2015
"To fulfill his dream of building a railroad across
America, Bo Landers hires young Colt Travis in 1857 to guide his party along a
possible route. Landers's young, innocent, and beautiful daughter Sunny is
immediately attracted to the tall, dark, and ruggedly handsome half-breed
scout, and he to her. They deny their love for 12 years, knowing their worlds
are too different for a relationship between them to succeed. Outside
influences work against them, too: war, imprisonment, the deliberate
intervention of her relatives, injuries, marriage to others. This is a
well-written historical novel, and the macho but tender Colt is a hero to set
feminine hearts aflutter. Other characters are also realistic in the
action-packed story. . . . Western romance readers will thoroughly enjoy
this." Publisher's Weekly, 1992.
